Sustainable Salons has once again teamed up with the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave, so when Australia bravely shaves, we save the ponytails and hair clippings from landfill.

From 11-15 March, we’ll be collecting all the hair shaved from events around the country and repurposing it into the Hair Boom Project and local composting solutions.

During these events and all year-round, we also collect all ponytails longer than 20cm from shavers to help make charitable wigs for those suffering from medically-induced hair-loss.

Every single day we receive precious packages from those who’ve sacrificed their long locks to raise money in the fight against blood cancer – and have gone the extra mile to donate their ponytails!

Plus this year, there’s more than meets the eye…

Give your locks some love after you shave! If you can’t have a hairdresser make the shave for you on your big day, chances are you might need a tidy-up straight after the event or once your hair starts to grow back.
